Ride History:
This ride was built by Eli-Bridge Co. in 1917. This particular wheel is the twenty first to be made by that company. Originally a ground mounted ride, in 1971 this wheel was trailer mounted by Vince Beirbaum in Mercedes Texas. Purchased in 1971 by Bob Ottaway and operated on his family’s show until 1993. Except for an occasional opening it would sit dormant until its purchase by Rex Lewellen in 2001. This ride has passed state and federal ride inspections in the states of Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Missouri. The Ferris Wheel is still going strong and has been estimated to have provided fun and enjoyment to over three million customers.
