Ride History
This ride originally known as The Cobra was built by Venture Rides in 1975. It was green and yellow with murals of snake teeth and cobra heads on it. To make it more family friendly and not so menacing the ride was re-themed The Blast. The previous owners of this ride felt patrons were truly having a blast when they rode it. This ride was one of the seven original rides on the Lewellen Amusements midway. The Blast has been one of the top rides on the show since Lewellen Amusements began in 2000. A ride that thrill seekers and young kids alike love to ride again and again. The ride is scheduled for a completely new paint job and color scheme in 2009.
